With Christmas having been a little over a week ago, I have lots of new presents to share with you on the blog. This whole outfit was from my momma :) She always knows what I would like, which can be hard, as I am not the easiest to buy for! I definitely have gotten my fashion sense from her. Only problem? I inherited her champagne taste for fashion too ;)

I’m sure your eyes were first drawn to this camel colored coat. I love love love it!! It’s actually less expensive than you might think, as it’s not real cashmere. This one is from asos. Asos is an online British fashion and beauty store. They not only sell their own brand of clothing and accessories, but also over 850 other brands as well. Their clothing and accessories are priced very reasonably. Right now asos is offering 70% off sale items!! Wow! I like the look of a long camel coat with different color skinny jeans and heels. I think it is an outfit that shows true confidence and really makes a statement. The length is just right too! I love that it hits your calf at just the right spot :) Some camel coats come with a belt or a few buttons to close it up. This one has a simple fasten and single button on the inside which I really like.

As I said, I like wearing this coat with a pair of skinny jeans. I opted for these black Madewell High Rise ones. If you are on the taller side, make sure to order these skinnies in “tall” because the “regular” are way too short. The only thing about High Rise jeans is that they can sometimes make your butt look long. Long butts run in our family so I best make sure squats, and lunges are in the workout routine! How else can you solve a long butt problem? Throw on a pair of heels (these are steve madden—refer to the “off duty” post for more on these pumps).

You know I love velvet, and my momma knows it too!  This design lab velvet halter top she gave me is super cute. You could either tuck this top into your High Rise skinnies or simply leave it over your pants like I did. I think this color worked great with tan and black. I also have this halter top in a faux suede material. It’s a perfect tank for keeping your outfit stylish and fun. How much? Originally $58. Now? $33.99 Yea baby!

For jewelry, I chose to go with this perfectly layered free people necklace that my love had given me for Christmas. You can choose to wear this Dylana Delicate Leather Bolo necklace with a low cut top, simple tank, or over a high neck top like this one. The clasp in the back allows for the perfect adjustability. If you want the choker part tighter around your neck, or want it looser, you have that option! Considering most items from free people are not cheap, their jewelry is fairly reasonable—this will run you $38 bucks!
